Ordering a drink from a coffee machine in a self-service area without touching a single button or display? With the new Franke Touchless web app it is remarkably easy for customers to choose a drink on their own mobile phone, without any contact with the machine's touchscreen.
Distance and caution are current priorities in every area of life. That applies to surfaces a whole stream of people touch, such as the displays on coffee machines in self-service areas: they have to be cleaned and disinfected regularly. To err on the side of caution and make sure coffee lovers can order the drink of their choice without touching the machine, Franke Coffee Systems has added an important feature to its range of digital services: Franke Touchless. This new web app lets customers choose their drink safely and conveniently using their own smartphone.
Contactless product selection
It is almost unbelievably simple: the customer uses their phone camera to scan a QR code on the fully automatic machine's touchscreen. That opens the Franke web app on the customer's own mobile phone, showing the drinks available. The customer then picks a product and confirms the order. All that is required of the customer is a smartphone with a camera and an internet connection. This contactless ordering solution also raises no difficulties where data-protection law is concerned. Users do not have to register or install a particular app to use Franke Touchless, which means they stay anonymous and leave no personal data behind. Drinks can of course still be selected the traditional way, on the touchscreen, which runs in parallel with contactless operation.
